Following the accomplishment of a series of private residential projects Markéta has launched THE LUXURIST, interior design studio dedicated to creating customised soulful spaces that tell the unique story of those who inhabit them. The Studio offers an exclusive and very personal service to all clients seeking for a seamless design journey.

Markéta was born in Prague, but spent part of her childhood in Asia and Africa, which has significantly influenced her aesthetic perception of the world and encouraged her passion for travelling, arts&design and traditional approaches to well-being. In travels around the world she finds the biggest inspiration until today.

Markéta studied Economics at Charles University in Prague and at the University of Bath in United Kingdom. Her working experience started in 2000 at the capital markets supervisory and regulatory agency based in Prague and in 2005 she joined Komerční banka, a.s., a member of the Société Générale financial group, as head financial analyst. A year after she became financial risk manager certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals. 

In 2017 Markéta has decided to pursue her lifelong passion for interior design by further studies of arts and design.
